It seems that you are wrong because there is still project's owner and
ideologist. So I do not want too many people to know about this
project - or else people can organize things oneself.
So what? As soon as you release it, it will be public anyway. And if someone wants to create a similar project, they can.
In fact, what's to stop anyone from writing you then starting their own project once they have your details? Besides absolutely nothing.
You obviously don't understand the concept behind "open source". It is MEANT to be a public development environment.
