Well I did not even bother to read the rest since you jumped on the
flame wagon right away. I was (an I suppose I was not clear) meaning web
pages, not so much web apps.
Doesn't matter. Both work in the Web, whose rules you have to follow if
you want them to work well. They use the same medium, the same protocols
and the same clients. The only difference is the functionality.
The Web is flexible by nature, and so should be applications that make
use of it. For doing that properly you don't need natural philosophy,
but a thorough understanding of how HTML and CSS work. It also helps to
know at least the basics of design, e.g. "form follows function".
