parsing tiff image

    Hi,
    I would like to read and parse data from a tiff image. I know that's
    possible to access few informations (exif, getsize etc,...) but I'd
    like to make something like "imagecreatefromjpeg" but with TIFF
    format.
    Is anybody know something related???
