check http link

so i'm writing my own little bookmark handler - i use 4 computers and
was sick of trying to sinc all the bookmarks.

i wrote a script that handles by bookmarks
(http://www.gregfridman.com/links/)

now the problem is dead links....

i want to write a quick script that's gonna go through every link once
a month and check if it's 404 or not...

any ideas on how to do this?
