for about five years.

If you're using mod_perl, you might have a look at Apache::ASP. It uses the same page-embedding syntax as ASP on IIS, and similar request, session, and other objects.


Not exactly my own cup of tea, I'm afraid, but it sounds like you might be looking for something along those lines.
