well, allow me to kick this *** off right away. :)
why do you think we need advice from "an infrequent user of Perl" who
"[makes] most every mistake on the way" and who writes semi-coherent
36-line subroutines for something which would be done in 1 very
coherent line if only he were able to actually RTFM instead of bitching
about being told to RTFM.
