Microsoft Excel can read comma separated lists (.csv files). I would
create a test file, and try importing it into Excel.

And you can use a little trick. Because Excel is stupid (or inteiligent?) you can create standard CSV file but name it as *.XLS :-) Really! Try it ;-)
