Which perl module to use for object persistence

folks,

in our project we are planning to persistently store some objects.
any recommendations for which modules to use?

anybody used:
app-repository at http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/dist/App-Repository or
object persistence at :
http://search.cpan.org/~vipul/Object-Persistence-0.92/lib/Persistence/Object/Simple.pm

any pointers/suggestions are greately appreciated.
