Unable to read particular work*** from excel file using perl

Hi
I am trying to read required work*** from excel file using perl with
module
spread***::parseexcel and spread***::writeexcel
but I am unable to read it, the error I am getting is subroutine
&main::work*** not found.
any help regarding this will be greatly appriciated.
