Dont use!!! ...lost it after first restore, thinking it was mcfee that had done it ate start i then tried norton, and again it happend, then i had CA, lost all of that on third update, now Trend Micro, all as suggested in ms update, same problem with all, except the last one seamed to be worst of all, havig frozen before the login screen. ... If I were you, I would back up all important data to a external hard drive, reformat the hard drive and clean install Windows and install Avast or AVG as an AV and Zone Alarm or Kerio as a firewall, both free. ... settings were lost in the restore.... apt-get upgrade kills linux bootup ... After performing a YOU I lost scanner function... So I tried using apt-get to upgrade the gtk/gtk2 hoping that would ... use Yast to install more of the gtk/gtk2 and Gnome packages. ... I noticed that I KDE 3.2.1 was upgraded to KDE 3.4.2. ... Re: Trying to install XP ... Basically, since you have SP2 already, any ... WinXP disk you have will not want to install, unless you do it from scratch, ... The solution is to save all of the files and settings you need to keep ... All records of UserNames/passwords will be lost.... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support)
