to fork process and use FIFO.

Need Help on how to fork process and use FIFO.

I have 10 processes that I would like to fork form parent.
Each process reads a different file, processes it and returns a
log.
I Need to consolidate all the Logs from all 10 processes and write it out to
a single file.

Can some one help me out on how to start.
