Re: [OT] I give up with the reply-to business already

Omega -1911:
Dr.Ruud:

I prefer to filter out the author's email address from my follow-up,
if the message arrived via a list.
Unless the specific author requested otherwise (by any means,
probably including Mail-*-To headers), or the list doesn't work
reliably.
[cut that Omega should have made]

This sissy type thread and the type of responses from "so-called
EXPERTS"
is degrading... Why do "EXPERTS" consider themselves experts when
they often forget from whence they came. After all, not one of us
were born knowing Perl. You guys often treat Perl Knowledge as if you
need job security (keeping your vast knowledge and know-how
secretive). Often Not Teaching, but more PREACHING! If you are TRULY
an "expert" in the matter, "sharing" fruitful flowers attracts more
bees than caring about the hive you keep! GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE!

This thread is not about Perl, see the Off-Topic flag in the Subject
header field. You can filter on that if you don't want to read such
threads.

Your first sentence is at the wrong quoting level. You should leave a
blank line between the old text and your reaction.

Further you left a signature and a list tail. You should at least cut
all text from the line with only "dash dash space" (called the sigsep or
signature separator) downwards.

This are all basic reply techniques. Please start to use them. If you
don't, more people won't make the effort to read what you wrote.
