I have downloaded the 5.8.8. version of perl for windows, but i 'm
unable to install it on win 2003 server & also of win XP .
Typing 'C:\perl> perl this_program ' generates a message
"Perl.exerequires Build 316 of
perl300.dll"
I would be thankful if you help me in overcoming this problem
Rasheed.
The best way to install Perl on MS Windows is to download it from
ActiveState: http://www.activestate.com/Products/ActivePerl/
It installs a binary, so no build or make needed. You can then use their
ppm program to download various CPAN modules.
