As a beginner you are in a unique position to help the Perl community
improve Perl's documentation. Since, clearly, you find the
explanation of ++ in the reference manual to be unclear could you
perhaps explain precisely which parts of it you difficult to
comprehend so that we can improve it.

Alternatively if you were unable to find the relevant documentation
could you explain the steps you took to look for it so that we might
improve the documentation to make it easier to find what you are
looking for.
