Is there a way to get from WWW:Mechanize the same information I would
get using the mouse to select and paste??

Sure; as the FAQ for Mech says, if you aren't getting the same
responses from the remote site, it's because you're not sending the
same request to the remote site. If you can make the same request, you
should get the same response. Check the FAQ for more ideas (mech-dump)
on how to debug this. Good luck!
