Of course, Randal(a.k.a. "merlyn") is the original Perl hacker. He is the one who came up with the idea. I'd love to see some of his gnarly obfuscated versions.(BTW, I am a huge FLOSS weekly fan) I think there are some archived on comp.lang.perl
