Yes it is. I had the same problem you did.

What Platform are you on?

You need to download and compile the DBI and the DBD::Solid packages. In
order to compile the DBD::Solid, you will need to get the Solid Library.
If you are on a Solaris Server, you can use (Solaris 8)

ftp://ftp.solidtech.com/pub/products/EmbeddedEngine/3.52/solidSDKe352s8x.tar.Z

or (for other solaris versions)

ftp://ftp.solidtech.com/pub/products/EmbeddedEngine/3.52/solidSDKe352ssx.tar.Z

For HPUX platform,

ftp://ftp.solidtech.com/pub/products/EmbeddedEngine/3.52/solidSDKe352h1x.tar.Z

You will need to uncompress, and untar the files. If you are on HPUX, you
may6 need to create a dummy software link for
libsolodbc.so referencing to soch1x30fe.sl in lib directory.

I put the solid in a directory called /usr/solid. You will need to know
the path for the library which you need for one of the environment
variables to compile the DBD-Solid package

Then review the README file from the DBD-Solid package for setting up the
environment variables you need to compile the Solid
 DBD

I'm out of the office the rest of the day, but I will be back in tomorrow
if you run into any problems.

Patty

hello,

I'm trying to make a connection to a solid database.
The database is from HPOV and it's called the nnm.
But I'm not able to make a connection with the DBI module.

Now my question is: Is the solid DB supported by DBI modul?

regards

Adrian
