Hi All,

I have been using Perl DBI/DBD for Oracle 8.1.7.4 so far. It is working great.

Now, we are planning to upgrade the database to Oracle 9i. So, I have the following question.

1. Do I need to rebuild by DBI and DBD module? Or can I make the existing installation work by just changing some path information(LD_LIBRARY_PATH etc)?

2. If I need to reinstall then is there any specific version for DBD Oracle that is required for Oracle 9i? Or does the version DBD-Oracle-1.14.tar.gz(in cpan) work fine? Is there anything for DBI too(I guess no)? I am planning to use the version 1.39.

I am on HP-UX 11.x 64 bit version, Oracle 9i 64 bit version.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Nilanjan
