I have a problem with the installation of DBD::Oracle 1.14 on Solaris
9. I have reinstalled the current stable version of perl 5.8.2 and it
is functional. I reinstalled DBI 1.39 with no problem. I even tried
changing the make file to point to the 32bit libraries in Oracle,
since I have Oracle 9.2.0.4 installed, to no avail. The make still
errors out on
ld: fatal: file /appora/oracle/product/9.2/lib32: unknown file type
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to
blib/arch/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.so
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target
`blib/arch/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.so
Please advice. This system is running Solaris 9 in 64bit mode to
accomodate the Oracle 9i 64bit version that we were sent for our
license. Thank you in advance.
