Does DBD-ORACLE support Oracle 9i 64 bit ?

Hi,
 
  We have just upgraded to Oracle 9i 64 bit from Oracle 8.1.7 32 bit and I
have been trying to re-install my DBD version 1.07 and am getting an error
of
ld: fatal: file /usr/local/opt/oracle/product/9.2.0/rdbms/lib/defopt.o:
wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64, does anyone know of a way to override the DBD
installation to support 64 bits ?
 
  I sure would appreciate any help with this,
