MySql connection Error

    Pardon the dumb MySql-newuser error, but I need a
    quick
    explaination of the error I'm getting. I assume it is
    caused by a difference in versions, but I installed
    what
    I thought was the latest version of all pieces
    involved.

    The message states:

    install_driver(mysql) failed: DBD::mysql object
    version 2.9002 does not match bootstrap parameter
    2.0416 at C:/langs/perl/lib/DynaLoader.pm line 249.
    Compilation failed in require at (eval 6) line 3.

    The Perl version is 5.8.0
        MySql version is 1.2216 (I think, thats the
    number
                                  on the downloaded tar
    file)

    This is installed on a Windows 98 machine.

    What do I need to do the get the bootstrap parameters
    to
    match? Any hel-p in this would be appreciated.
