    Feel free to download and play with Microsoft Data Engine 2.0 (MSDE), which is, for all intents and puposes, Sql Server 2000. Or, get the 1.0 version, which is equivalent to Sql Server 7.0. It just doesn't come with the developer and administrative add-ons that Sql Server has...
