I got the messages - though only the second and third give your email
address (which I noticed now, rather than when I looked on Friday.) I didn't
get a chance to explore the problem on Friday...

Did the code in t/t93lvarchar.t work OK for you? It tests LVARCHAR columns
without a NOT NULL constraint. It is also plain LVARCHAR, not LVARCHAR(n) --
it predates the latter notation.

Given that you say the problem is in the NOT NULL variant, I guess t93 does
pass - I'll have to add the NOT NULL columns and see what fails on my end
(and also explore using LVARCHAR(n) when the server supports that).

If I find time - a dubious proposition - I'll look on Monday.

I've got a couple of other DBD::informix problem reports pending - looks
like I'm due to do a fix-up release, just as soon as they are resolved.
