Alternatively (to DBI->installed_versions):

perl -MDBI -e 'print "$DBI::VERSION\n";'

or even:

$> perl -MDBI=999999
DBI version 999999 required--this is only version 1.52 at
/u01/app/perl/lib/5.8.8/Exporter/Heavy.pm line 121.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted.
