Multi DBI query

Hi,
I am currently writing a DBI application with a web based front end.

Would it be possible to join two or more queries from different
database together? For instance ifi had a query as below

Select * from db.user1 where username in (select user from db.user2)

But in this case, db.user2 is hosted on another server, probably on
another database type. Would it bhe possible to use perl DIB to
generate this sort of query?

thanks

.
