Although it's not prolog-specific, you might want to check out http://senseis.xmp.net/?ComputerGoProgramming. I've also written something at http://senseis.xmp.net/?BenjaminTeuber%2FThoughtsAboutGoProgramming (this is quite abstract and just about specific aspects of what I believe a superb program would need - also far from easy to implement - but at least it contains a few lines of prolog pseudo-code...)
Another good thing is the computer-go mailinglist: http://computer-go.org/mailman/listinfo/computer-go
