I'd guess that it is more, and less, than a computer language from the
wiki blurb. Sounds a lot like an overgrowth of all those "4GLs" they had
in the '80s.

I think you'll need to give a reference to AION. Wikipedia thinks it's
a form of blindness; Google thinks it may also be online computer game
or MacOS ntpd.
