B-Prolog version 7.1 available for external tests

Hi,

B-Prolog version 7.1 has passed our internal tests and is available for
external tests from www.probp.com. This version is about 10% faster than the
previous version. Overall, during the past year B-Prolog's speed for
standard Prolog programs has been boosted on average by 65% on Windows and
nearly 90% on Linux and Mac thanks to a newly designed virtual machine named
TOAM Jr. Our measurement also reveals significant improvement in compile
speed and slight improvement in execution speed of constraint and tabled
programs. Version 7.1 completes the transition from the old ATOAM virtual
machine to TOAM Jr. and future versions are expected to be backward
compatible with this version at the bytecode level.

The beta version is available only for Windows and Linux. The beta test
period is expected to last two to three months and the versions for Mac and
Solaris will be made available when the version is officially released.
