Bratko's Expert System Shell

In Bratko's Prolog Programming for Artificial Intelligence there is code for an expert system shell. This code can be found in "File shell.txt" in
http://www.pearsoned.co.uk/highereducation/resources/bratkoprologprogrammingforartificialintelligence3e/

I have opened the code in WIN-PROLOG. When I check the syntax of the code I get 19 errors. I have as yet not been able to identify the errors. Does anybody in the newsgroup know what the errors consist in?
