Hello all,
I am afraid I have some rather bad news about starkits:
It seems that last week a virus broke out and it has infected
large parts of Holland. At least, that is the area I have information
about. The nature of the virus is still unknown, but it is said
to have some connection with starkits.
I have not been able to reach Jean-Claude Wippler about it nor
Steve Landers, but quite a few of my customers and colleagues have
been attacked by it.
And note: this does not stop with Windows users, as starkits
are equally useable on UNIX and Linux!
Regards,
Arjen
