Why are the advantages of TCL for testing instead of standard C or C++?

I am developing software for a microcontroller. It has a LAN
connection. I want to test the microcontroller via a standard PC. I
have planed to write my test in "C" but what are the advantages of
writing the test in TCL compared with "C" or "C++" ?
