Uwe,

thank you for trying. This is good news. Never having tried
to run the software on a Mac, I pretty much assumed that it
would break right away, due to some triviality.

I guess the platform independence of Tcl/Tk works better
than I hoped for.

If the database is modified, you will be warned upon Exit,
with the chance to cancel the exiting.

(One minor artifact is that the database format does not
allow storing empty groups. So if you create or open a
database, and add groups, but no entries, the dabase is
not considered to be modified.)

You can "Save As", or of course you can rename the file
outside of the application, e.g., in Finder.

At the moment, a double click copies the password to the
clipboard. This should probably be explained somewhere, or
made an option.

Good comment -- maybe I should add this. At the moment,
you need to hit "Cancel", and then choose "File->New".

I may need some help here. What's the preferred way to
store preferences on the Mac? On Windows, the application
uses the registry. On other systems, and I was hoping that
to work on Mac OS X as well, the program tries to write its
preferences, like last recently used files, in the file
".gorillarc" in the ::env(HOME) directory. Is that
environment variable commonly defined on the Mac, or
is there a different preferred location?

That's what early releases are for -- gathering feedback.
Thank you for being my guinea pig, and keep the suggestions
