Perhaps you are asking the wrong question?

Are you perhaps asking

"Why, when I have a variable which contains a very large
value causing my application memory footprint to grow very large,
does the memory size not go down when the proc exits?"

Otherwise, what does "[you] see that some variable not freed [...] when [you]
exit from proc" mean?
