In Tablelist 3.8 the "images" directory is only needed if the
application makes use of interactive cell editing.

As of Tablelist 4.0, the "images" directory is only needed if the
windowing system is "x11" and interactive cell editing with the aid of
the Tk core checkbutton widget is used.  For the other windowing systems
the native chekbutton widgets are used.  Under X11 the images are loaded
on demand (the first time a temporary embedded checkbutton is created).
