I need to download Tcl/Tk (or ActiveTcl) for Solaris 8. What I found was ActiveTcl with the following minimum requirements: SPARC: Solaris 10 (minimum Solaris 2.6). Question: Would this install/run on Solaris 8? If not, where can I find a Tcl/Tk or ActiveTcl compatible with Solaris 8?
This works perfectly fine on Solaris 8. Solaris is a highly upwards compatible OS, and the 2.6 build works all the way through Solaris 10.
