Any chance of making a linux x86_64 package version of ActiveState TCL?
Will the Sun x86/64 package run on an AMD x86_64 linux system?
The existing linux x86 ActiveTcl works fine on x86_64 machines. The Solaris x86 ActiveTcl just released works fine on x86_64 as well, although it is a 32-bit build (so it works on regular Solaris/x86 as well). ActiveState provides 64-bit builds via our Enterprise Edition support. If you really require a true 64-bit build, you can contact our sales people about that. Otherwise, the 32-bit builds work just fine on the 64-bit OS variants above.
