Ok.. I tried it on Tk 8.4.5 and the problem doesn't occur there - as
you say, the first row doesn't get partially obscured.

Sorry - I forgot to mention I'm using Tk 8.5a4 build from around Oct
2005.
With that build the problem happens on Win2K & WinNT machines (haven't
tried on any other platform).

I'll test it out with a more recent 8.5 from CVS when I get a chance
