I hate untested code, since if there's a problem with it, you don't find
out until too late. :-( OK, sometimes it's nigh-on impossible to test
some parts of the core (earlier this week I committed a fix that only
applies to Xservers with seriously messed up fonts, and I've definitely
no practical way to test that) but it doesn't stop me from hating the fact.
Production deployment always encourages conservatism.
