encrypt the message as it's sending so I'm also wondering if this may
have something to do with the issue. Like there is a package missing but
no documentation to help you figure this out.

Now Pat Thoyts swears that this all works fine for him on his Windows XP
box but I have yet to see it work for me. I've tried it on both my
desktop and my laptop with the same result. I'm baffled. Any help would
be very much appreciated!

I'm sure Pat tried all the obvious tricks, but there might be some bugs
left in iocpsock that are all my fault :)

If you find an issue that really does point to iocpsock, email me
directly as I don't read c.l.t that much these days.

Hi David and thanks very much for responding!

No, I don't think this an issue with iocpsock as this was happening before I switched over to it. I believe there's something that's not playing nicely on my systems. Possibly due to my firewall/anti-virus software. I tried shutting these down and running my email stuff but the problem persisted so I kind of decided that it was not a function of that. At this point, unless someone chimes in with something really profound I'm going to remove my FW/AV software and give it another shot. If that works then I need to figure out how it's interacting and attempt to either fix it myself or try to get the appropriate developers to take a look at it. If it doesn't fix it then I will continue to be baffled I guess.
