compiling NS2 under Windows XP

Dear All

I am a new user to NS2 and I use it with cygwin and windows XP. I
tried to implement the code given in NS by EXAMPLE website to add new
agent and new application and I followed all the steps given in the
tutorial and I used make command to compile the new code.
when I want to use an instance of the new agent, I get a message
indicating the is an error and the new agent was not recognized by
otcl.

Is it right to use the make command or it is just for Linux
environment and I have to use other commands.
