Hi Lag,
Another approach maybe to look at the Service Assurance Agent already
availaible within the Cisco IOS. This does ping measurements as well as
TCP and UDP measurements of target IP addresses. The CLI and SNMP can
be used to setup the tests and query the results. I have not had any
experience with this myself only read about it. TCL could be used to
display the results the way you want them on the Cisco CLI or send them
to a remote host.
