Thanks for your additional thoughts. FYI, in this case, the
application is being started by IIS. Referring to our previous
exchange, I was unable to find any environment vars that were helpful
in this regard. Actually I'm trying to run the script under 2
different web servers (IIS and Abyss). Each have some vars that would
be helpful, but I didn't find anything that was both helpful and
common between the servers. Anyway, as I mentioned, I'm beyond the
problem now as I've fixed the mangled paths with [string map]. So,
unless any of this bothers someone with more Tcl core knowledge than
myself (with regard to the possibility of it being a bug that needs to
be found), I'll let it go now.
