Thanks for the info. Bug#1883850 opened at SF to track:
<URL: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1883850&group_id=12997&atid=112997 >
What I've noticed so far:
- Combobox: When the box is 'readonly' (not enterable, user must select
from defined list) the box assumes a different shape and color/texture
altogether.
How do read-only [ttk::entry] widgets look?
Are those correct?
- Indeterminate progress bar - the indeterminate indicator is wider and
sort of fuzzed out on the ends.
...
Does this describe how progress bars _should_ look, or how
intedeterminate ttk::progressbars _do_ look?
Are there any plans to "Ttk-ify" Menus, Listboxes, and Spinboxes?
Menus: possibly on Unix, but probably not. On Windows and OSX
Tk uses "native" facilities, and even on X11 Tk's menu system
is deeply intertwingled with the rest of Tk. They're difficult
to replace.
Listboxes: no immediate plans, but wouldn't be too much
of a challenge if there is a demand. Spinboxes are planned,
main holdup there is still The Scrollbar Problem and designing
a good API.
If you'd like I can do a detailed analysis with screenshots, etc.
comparing the Ttk widgets on both Vista and XP and post my findings, but
only as long as you think it might be useful for someone to do something
with the information.
Screenshots would be very helpful, thanks!
