DRH mentions he found the tcllib POP3 package "unreliable" and so he wrote his own that worked better for him ... however, I don't seem to find his POP3 package in the zip files linked on that page.
Anyone know if his new/improved POP3 package was ever evaluated for inclusion in the tcllib or if any of it's improvements were incorporated into the tcllib version of POP3? If it was, in fact, a superior package, I'd hate to see something as important as improvements to such a commonly used package as the POP3 package that could be beneficial to the entire Tcl community go by the wayside... ?
Are there any heavy/intensive POP3 package users here (all kinds of attachments, heavy volume, etc.) who have any feedback on the POP3 package? Has it proven complete and reliable?
How about the same questions for the SMTP package?
Thanks!
