Hmmm, AEJAKS http://aejaks.sourceforge.net/ should have been created
for TCLBLEND instead of Jacl. I wonder how hard is it to adapt it to
TCLBLEND?
Why? Jacl is a worthy implementation of Tcl. Sure, Jacl could
benefit from more attention from Tcl users to bring it
closer to current Tcl versions; even so, it's a nice piece of
software, with Incr Tcl and TJC as recent additions.
I have no idea how hard it would be to use TclBlend in Aejaks,
my guess is 'moderately difficult' The Echo2 library (used in
Aejaks) is Java-based, and expects to interact with a Java
web server (i.e., Java servlets.)
Something you might want to look into is Echo3, the newer
version of Echo. It not only allows writing Java based
applications, but also does more work on the Javascript side
of things, to the point of being able to have Echo3 applications
written in Javascript alone. Potentially, you could drive
Echo3 from Tcl, just as it is done from Java today.
