3Dcanvas error

Hello !
I downloaded, compiled and installed the 3Dcanvas package. I tried two
flavours of Linux (RedHat and Ubuntu) and I tried also two ways of
building (the one on the 3dcanvas.tcl.tk page, and the one described
in the README file of the distribution).
In all cases, I end up with the following message :
wish: ./generic/c3doptions.c:137: tagsSet: Assertion
`sizeof(SavedOption.internalForm) >= 2 * sizeof(Tcl_Obj*)' failed.
core dumped
when i type "wish demo/trinagles.tcl" (and for all demos).
Does anyone encounter such error ? Any idea ?
