It all depends on how you access this web site. Nothing much
apparently can be done if you, like I, are using google groups to
access the info.

I use Thunderbird... it can filter Spam out of Emails but not out of newsgroup posts.
But can not anyhing be done on the server side, so that the spam does not get through as posts - the kind of "askimet" spamfilter that Wordpress has?

I also remember times when it was not so bad as recently...
