Re: Tcl/Tk 8.5.3 RELEASED

How am I supposed to consider Tcl/Tk8.5 as serious language for scripting
GUI when some simple and annoying bugs are persistent?

I repoted a bug in February regarding broken behaviour of
tk_getOpenFile -multiple 1 on Linux. I posted it to the bugtracker. Then
another person submitted it again in April.

Two versions (8.5.2 and 8.5.3) were released since I reported the bug for
the first time and it is still there. For me it is crucial to be able to
select multiple files in an openFile dialog.

If it is really critical, and you do not feel like fixing it yourself, ActiveState offers support contracts -- some with guaranteed response time.

This bugs seems to be
relatively simple to fix. Why is it still present? Maybe Tcl/Tk on Linux is
not as important as on Windows/Mac?

Please advise
